How to make coffee without a coffee machine is provided here! When you don't have access to coffee-making equipment, use this method.

Yields1 Serving
Prep Time5 minsTotal Time5 mins
 6 tsp Ground coffee
2 pinches salt (optional but recommended to reduce bitterness)
 1 ½ cups (12 ounce) boiling water
1

Bring the water to a boil.

2

Put the salt and coffee in a tiny pot, jar, or coffee cup (if not straining; see step 2). Add just enough hot water to cover the coffee grounds, then let them sit for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, add hot water to the mug and stir.

3

Wait for 4 minutes.

4

Remove the grounds by straining them out. If you don't have a strainer, drizzle a little cold water over the hot coffee to get the grinds to settle to the bottom. However, a strainer (even a clean sock!) works best for this; use it to pour the coffee into a mug. Enjoy right away.
